A few of my co workers have heard about Anita so I thought I would post a picture of her on my blog. Just in case there was any doubt--we are in fact identical twins. (I'm on the right)

I'm glad we had an opportunity to do this at work. There were several things on this list I had wanted to explore, but I needed a push to do so.
I enjoyed the task that allowed us to play with mash-ups & online image generators. Helping a coworker create a Southpark character for her blog was rather entertaining. If only all of serials cataloging had Southpark characters...

This program had little impact on my learning goals. Technology is in my plan and this program allowed me a bit time to explore. Generally the the program was well constructed, but I think the activities take a bit longer for many people than advertised. If a similar program was offered, I would go through the exercises, it can't hurt!

I found a podcast of public domain audiobooks and added it to bloglines.

Audiobooks with Annie

I have used podcasts for various needs in the past. Podcasts are particularly helpful for language instruction. I have used podcasts to supplement Spanish and Portuguese classes.

#20 YouTube

I have decided to place a video I created for the LOCKSS program on my blog. This video supplements detailed installation instructions and demonstrates the process is not extremely complicated.

YouTube can be used for more than silly videos! I think this service has a great potential for teaching & learning.

I like that there is a suggestion feature on the search tool to correct misspelled words. It seems hard to get exactly what is searched, but there is an added bonus. Sometimes you learn something neat that is not exactly what you were looking for, but still worth it.

Perhaps this could be used during a reference questions if you run out of other options. I use this tool mainly as a form of entertainment...

#18 Online productivity

I created the text below in a document and used the publish tab to connect to my blog and post it directly. That feature is really easy to use.

I like to use keyboard short cuts and I usually find if frustrating when I can't use shortcuts in open source productivity software. But, I think its worth the effort to learn how to use these applications as effectively as Microsoft products.
